A few weeks ago I watched a movie for the first time. The Hangover 2, a comedy sequel to a comedy movie about three friends who wake up after a night of partying to find that they have no idea how they got there. My friend recommended it to me and being an avid fan of movies I could not wait to watch it. While the overall experience was good, what I found most interesting was the Tamil dubbing. In fact, it really added something special - which is why I went on to watch the original Hindi version as well as other movies in Tamil with Tamil dubs which were released around that time. The Indian dubbing industry has been facing stiff competition from the use of motion capture and voice acting in Video games such as Grand Theft Auto (GTA), Bioshock, Uncharted and God of War. This has led to a rise in demand for dubbed movies in Tamil which have been released by various studios these days. Watch Video dubbed movies is a more brief term phrase being used to showcase the different ways Tamil movies are dubbed into other languages. Populated with a host of new actors, directors, dubbing artists and production houses, what is interesting about the Tamil Dubbed Movies is that it showcases a growth in quality from early years of the industry where dubbers would often come from outside South India to do their job. Today, South India enjoys better quality dubbing with the presence of more dubbing artists who are natives of the land. Today, Tamil dubbed movies are being produced with higher quality dubbed videos by dubbing artists who are trained to do so. From voices for different characters to voices that match the tone or accent of each character, fans have a new level of expectations when it comes to watching dubbed films in Tamil. There is often a considerable gap between the time period when films are released in their home country and when they arrive in India. This gives us some time to see what other people say about them before we make up our mind about it. The Tamil dubbed movies of today have a fairly long history. In the past there were various people from Tamil Nadu who managed to work in South Indian Dubbing industry. These included dubbers from Kerala and some from the south Indian states where Tamil is spoken. The dubbing artists would either work under their own names or often use their own names, but it was still better to be known as one than many. Often, actors would come with their own dubbers who worked with them for years before, during and after the movie release. This method proved very beneficial because actors could not risk getting bashed by fans for not having the best voice, since they had no control over it anyway. There was a time when it became impossible to find good and reliable dubbing artists. The method of dubbing was also considered as a tool meant to be used by film studios to make better movies or sell more tickets. This led to quality being taken down quite a bit, as though the same person dubbed both roles he would give the same performance as both characters - because this is what they were used too. But as time moved on, things began to turn around for the better. The first Tamil Dubbed movie released in 2009 was "Pudhupettai" directed by Selvaraj who has since become a renowned director in the Tamil film industry. cfa1e77820
